Mr. Corbett Gene Hobson, 79 of Stedman, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at Carolina Rehab Center of Cumberland.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Monday, June 20, 2016 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Rev. Larry West. Interment will follow at Lee Chapel Williford Cemetery(Plainview Hwy/ Hwy 421) in Dunn.

The family will receive friends 1:00pm to 2:45pm Monday before the service at the funeral home.

He was born in Harnett county to the late Paul Hobson and Beatrice Strickland Hobson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Jerry Hobson, Paul Hobson, Jr., Carolyn Culbreth and Steve Hobson.

He is survived by children, Norma Rule and husband, CP, Becky Williams and husband, Larry, Gary Hobson and wife, JoAnn and Denise Lowery; former wife, Geraldine Kirk; grandchildren, Christy Ponte, Rickey Blackwell, Samantha Hobson, AJ Hrach, Ashley Harris, Dillon Jackson and Miranda Hobson; great grandchildren, Dustin Blackwell, Maria White, Jaxson Harris and Alleigh Harris; and siblings, Edward Hobson, Donnie Hobson, Katie Jackson, Brenda Honeycutt, Tommy Hobson, Quincy Hobson, Wanda Matthews and Cindy Wood.
