STEDMAN
Mr. Clyde Nelson mcMillan, Sr., 72, of 910 Wade-Stedman Road, passed away Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006 at his home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006 at 3 PM at Cokesbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald Shields officiating. Burial will follow in the Autry-McAlpin Cemetery.
Mr. McMillan is retired from the retail business after 49 years. He started his career with S.H. Kress in Fayetteville, then managing stores in SC, GA and Mobile, AL. He was very active n the Northminister Presbyterian Church in Chickasaw, Alabama for 32 years serving as a Deacon, Elder and Clerk of Session. He was also a member of Shibboleth Masonic Lodge No. 28, A.F.M.
Mr. McMillan was born in Robeson County and grew up in Parkton, NC. He is preceded in death by his parents Duncan and Gladys McMillan, brothers, John and Grady McMillan.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Hazel Crumpler McMillan, son, Clyde N. McMillan, Jr. and wife Marlene, of Fayetteville; daughter, Karene L. McMillan, of Stedman; granddaughter, Candace Joy McMillan, of Sebring, FL; two step-granddaughters, Kimberly P. Nottigilieri and husband Arthur, of Schertz, TX and Jeanna P. Meza of Colorado Springs, CO. Two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Isabella Bottigilieri of Schertz, TX. One sister, Evelyn Kearse and husband, Douglas, of Columbia, SC.
The family will receive friends Saturday night, Oct. 28, 2006 from 6 till 8 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
