Mr. Cloys Wayne Owens, 83 of Roseboro went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Rev. David Williams officiating.  Entombment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:50 AM Saturday at Butler Funeral Home prior to the service.

Mr. Owens was a native of Scotland County, the son of Marshall and Laura McPherson Owens.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Estelle Beasley Owens and several brothers and sisters.  He worked with bridge maintenance for the NC Department of Transportation.  He was a member of the Army National Guard.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth Owens and wife, Anita of Salemburg; three grandchildren, Kassie Johnson and husband, Dustin, Kyndall Williams and husband, Jacob and Katelynn Owens; one great grandchild, Harper Johnson; and three brothers, Billy Owens, Donald Owens and Harry Owens.
