Mrs. Clara Jewell Fisher Averitte, 84 of Roseboro went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at her home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Wood and Rev. Jessie Blalock officiating.  Burial will follow in the Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00  - 1:50 PM on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mrs. Averitte  was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Willie and Linda Autry Fisher.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Pete Averitte.

She is survived by her daughter, Carla LaGrey Dixon and her husband, Fred of Roseboro; two grandsons, Branden Jones of Roseboro and Drew Jones and wife, Julie of Clinton; two great grandchildren, Idris “Tank” Dixon and Cayden Jones; three sisters, Ada Faye Faircloth of Autryville, Linda Joyce Oates of Roseboro and Lena Lucille Brewington of Summerville, SC.
