Mrs. Clara L. Beard, 90

HOPE MILLS Mrs. Clara Lavonne Beard, 90 of 2689 Odom Road, died on Wednesday July 7, 2010 at Campbellton Health Care Center in Fayetteville. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Bladen Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Douglass Bartlett officiating. Mrs. Beard was a native of Cumberland County and the daughter of the late Hugh and Sally Geddy Sessoms. She worked as a Clerk with McKeithans Drug Store in Fayetteville for 46 years. Mrs. Beard is survived by: two sons, Ben Beard and Keith Beard both of Grays Creek; one sister, Don Williams of Eastover; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
