Mrs. Charlotte Marie House Horne, 73 of Autryville went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 24, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, May 27, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Rev. Bobby Page and Rev. Jerry Edwards officiating.  Burial will follow in the George Horne Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:50 PM on Monday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. Horne was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Arthur Harold and Marjorie Catherine Page House.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Arthur P. Horne.

She was a loving Mother to three sons, a Mother-in-law to two daughter-in-laws and a Granny to five grandchildren.  Charlotte loved the Lord and lived her Christian life in service to others in the name of Jesus.  She was a gospel singer from childhood.  She sang with “The Musical Four”,” Southern Tones”,  “Southern Belles” and the “Southern Hearts”.  She was a Cosmetologist and a wonderful homemaker for her family.

She is survived by three sons, Darrin Pritchard Horne and wife, Amy, Harold Cordell Horne, and Dace Crafton Horne and wife, Dawn; five grandchildren, Joshua Caleb Horne and wife, Kyndall, Emily Marie Horne, McKenzie Leigh Allen and husband, Dylan, Cassidy Michelle Wise and husband, Holden and Corbin Dace Horne; a sister, Sandra H. Tew and husband, Jimmy,  a brother, Kenneth Harold House and wife Debbie, and a sister-in-law, Patricia Williford and husband, Jerry.
