Mr. Charles Gene Tew, 68

GLEN ALLEN, VIRGINIA

Mr. Charles Gene Tew, 68 of Glen Allen, Virginia, formerly of Roseboro, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 in Glen Allen, Virginia.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 13, at Roseboro United Methodist Church, 300 N. Broad Street, Roseboro, with Reverend Bryan Strickland officiating. Interment will follow at Roseboro Cemetery.

A native of Sampson County, he was the son of the late Charles Oscar and Dorothy Melvin Tew. Gene was a graduate of Clinton High School and retired from the U.S. Post Office in Clinton. He was a devoted fan of the UNC Tarheels and Carolina Panthers.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn McMillan Tew of Glen Allen, VA; one son, Daren Tew of Massachusetts; two sisters, Wanda Hunter and Sandra Tew of Clinton; one brother, Gary Tew of Clinton; and six adored grandchildren.

The visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Friday, February 12, at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro.
