Mr. Charles William Gore, 83

SALEMBURG Mr. Charles William Gore, 83 of Salemburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, due to a lengthy illness. He was born in Horry County, SC, on January 12, 1928 to William Henry and Myrtie Caroline Gore who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was his wife of 54 years, Maxine Hayes Gore, a sister, Annette Gore Bordeaux and a brother, Thurman Gore. He is survived by two sons, Rev. Charles Alan Gore and wife, Carol and Rev. Samuel Webster Gore and wife, Sharon of Salemburg; and his daughter, Wanda Gore Bledson and husband, Donald of Wilmington. He was the proud grandfather of four grandchildren: William Simon Gore, Christopher Alan Gore, Andrew Franklin Gore and Colin Ian Bledson; and four great grandchildren, Sarah Gore, Caleb Gore, Jacob Gore and Haley Gore. His surviving siblings include, Ethel Gore Mays, Archie Gore, Mitchell Gore, Sylvia Gore Woodcock, Larry Gore, Craig Gore and Keith Gore. He is survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the home of Rev. Alan and Carol Gore of Salemburg. Visitation will be held at Butler Funeral Home of Roseboro, on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 7 to 9 P.M. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Delco Cemetery with Mr. Doug Creeger officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Baptist Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 338, Salemburg, NC 28385. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
