Mr. Charles Wayne "C.W." Smith, 68 of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A Celebration of LIfe will be held 6:00pm Wednesday, April 5, at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.

Born August 19, 1948 in Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Albert Love and Annie Mae Rogers Smith. He was a Marine Corp Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Jerrie Ann West Smith; children, Pamela Smith Reynolds and husband Johnny, David Wayne Smith and wife Amy, Christy Smith Houser and husband Michael, Timothy Michael Smith and wife Vanessa, and Natalie Smith Fieldgrove and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Christopher, Justin, Brianna, Dillon, Madison, Alexis, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Jaden; great grandchildren, Elijah, and Josiah; and siblings, Danny Ray Smith and wife Cathy, Larry Bruce Smith and wife Ann, John Albert Smith and wife Ruth, Cindy Smith-Maness and husband John, and Nancy Smith Byrd and husband Steve.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 6:00pm Tuesday at 3246 Willard Drive, Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for homeless Veterans and sent to Voluntary Service/Homeless, 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
