Mr. Charles Horace Avery, 61 of 2306 McDaniels Road, died on Friday, February 25, 2011 at his home.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Carr's Chapel Freewill Holiness Church with Rev. Billy Bass and Rev. Glenn Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Avery was born on October 26, 1949 and was a native of Harnett County. He is preceded in death by his father, Clifton Horace Avery, and a nephew, Allen Dwight Stewart. He worked as a Supervisor in the Hog Industry.
He is survived by: his wife, Connie Dabbs Avery of the home; two special nieces, Alena Cain and Rozlyn Cain both of the home; his mother, Beulah Brown Avery of Clinton; nine brothers and sisters, Jerry Avery and wife Judy of Clinton, Ann Tyndall and husband Ervin of Garland, Joyce Avery of Clinton, Carl "Buck" Avery and wife Sharon of Roseboro, Carolyn Stewart and husband Glenn of Roseboro, Ricky Avery and wife Terri of Clinton, Kenny Avery and companion Marjorie of Goldsboro, Judy Avery Noland of Clinton, and Donnie Avery and wife Kristy of Fayetteville; and numerous other special nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, and other times at the home.
