FAYETTEVILLE Mr. Cecil Paul Smith, 62, of Fayetteville died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, Nov, 25, 2014 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman with Rev. Ken Bearwood officiating. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Mr. Smith retired from Cargill after 42 years of service. He was predeceased by his parents, Simon and Harriett Smith. Survivors include his wife, Kay Strom Smith of the home; daughters, Paula Shambach and husband James of Fayetteville; Kimberley Strouble and husband Phillip of Stedman; sons, Cecil Paul Smith, Jr. of Leland and Thomas Strom and wife Shannon of Durham; Siblings, David, Ralph, Ricky of Wallace, and Johnnie Smith and Judy Ake of Fayetteville; Grandchildren: Christopher and Nicholas Shambach, Danny Strouble and Jennifer Trenor; Great grandchildren, Rachael and Leah Strouble. Also surviving are his beloved pets, "Maggie" and "Amos". The family would like to say a " Special Thank You" to Amedisys Hospice of Pembroke, NC, and Geneva Smith, Judy Ake, Kim and Phillip Strouble for all their help, love and support.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 25 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman with Rev.
