Mrs. Carolyn Maxine (Tanner) Norris, 78, of Roseboro, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at UNC Medical Center Chapel Hill.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Reverend Bryan Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Roseboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:50 on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro prior to the service.

Mrs. Carolyn was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Webster and Elizabeth Tanner. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Nathan and Russell Tanner; two sisters, Elsie Davis and Mozelle Miner; and a son, Kevin Honeycutt.

She is survived by her husband, David Norris; three daughters, Deneen Branch and husband, Wayne of Roseboro, Becky Blackwell of Roseboro, Cindy Rouse and husband, Bobby of Faison; seven grandchildren, Darren Branch, Brandon Branch, Johnny Carey, Taylor Carey, Cameron Blackwell, Jeffrey Rouse and wife, Maddie, and Jade Honeycutt; five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
