Mrs. Carolyn H. Johnson, 89

STEDMAN Mrs. Carolyn Holmes Johnson, 89 of 147 Hillsboro Street, died on Monday, January 4, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Autryville. Mrs. Johnson was born on January 20, 1920 in Cumberland County to the late John and Lena Sessoms Holmes. She is preceded in death by: her husband, Landon Johnson; three sons, William "Billy" Johnson, Carl Johnson, and Larry Johnson; and one daughter, Rebecca Johnson. She worked as a Cafeteria Worker with Cumberland County Schools for over 30 years. She is survived by: her daughter, Grace Johnson Tew; two sons, James Daniel Johnson and John Thomas Johnson; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and 12 step-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, and other times at the home. Arrangements by Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
