Mrs. Carolyn G. Cassidy-Carter, 52

HOPE MILLS Mrs. Carolyn Gail Cassidy-Carter, 52, of Hope Mills, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at her home. "Gail" was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who impacted many lives. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 18, at 2:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman with Rev. Jerry Fisher officiating. the family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis E. Cassidy. She is survived by: her husband, Dennis Wesley Carter, Sr. of the home; one daughter, Jessica Anne Pedrosa of Hope Mills; three sons, Jack Allen Brooks of Waynesville, Missouri, and Christopher Bryan Brooks and Derrick William Cassidy, both of Fayetteville; two sisters, Vicki Fisher of Roseboro and Demetria Alvarez of Bath, Maine; Special "mama", Lanie Royal of Fayetteville; and two special friends, Carroll Allee of Raeford and Kim Reed of Hope Mills. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Center of Cape Fear Valley, 1638 Owen Drive, Fayetteville,NC, 28304 or to the St. Jude's Children Hospital.
