Carl Elijah Brown, 78 passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Concord Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. Larry West. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the funeral home.

He was born in Allegany County, Maryland to the late Carl Eugene Brown and Mary Catherine Jackson. He was a veteran with the United States Marines. He also retired as a business center manager with Good Year Tire Company for 32 years.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Brown of the home; children, Kara Lynn Carter of Hagerstown, MD, Lisa Anne Sanfilippo & husband, Vincent of Chesterfield, PA and Michael David Brown & wife, Allyson of Suffolk, VA; 7 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Church, 7591 Concord Church Rd., Autryville, NC 28318.
