Carl “Punkin” Brewer Horne, Jr. 72 passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, December 1, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Brewer Horne, Sr. and Lila Mae Bryant Matthews; and his siblings, Lilly May Hudson, James Smith, Carolyn Autry and Larry Ray Horne.

Carl was an auto mechanic in the Fayetteville area for many years.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 42 years, Helen Topper Horne; daughter, Amber Horne; son, Carl Brewer Horne, III; grandson, Brian Jackson Horne all of the home; siblings, Leo Horne (Nadine) of Fayetteville, Jackie Horne (Jack) of Greensboro, Irene McLaurin (Lonnie) of Clement, Adalaine Maggie Owens of Benson, Bobby Ann Ayers (Doug) of Fayetteville, Robbie Miller of Stedman, and Robert Matthews (Deborah) of Fayetteville.
