Mr. Carl C. Autry, age 85, of Stedman, went to his heavenly home on Friday, April 22, 2016.

Most of his life he enjoyed farming & he worked in industrial manufacturing; he retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber. For the past two years, he has been a resident of Bethesda Nursing Home and he was a member of Bethany Church of God of Prophecy.

Mr. Autry was predeceased by his mother, Mrs. Mamie Autry Barfield, & his wife, Catherine Harrelson Autry, and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, April 25, 2016 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Rev. Gary Strickland and Rev. Jeff Burkhardt. Interment will follow at Autry Family Cemetery on Leroy Autry Road, Autryville.

The family will receive friends 1:00pm-1:45pm Monday, April 25, 2016 at the funeral home before the service. The family also welcomes friends at Mr. Autry's home on Wade Stedman Road from 4:00pm-7:00pm Sunday afternoon, April 24, 2016.

He is survived by his four children-daughters; Glenda Stewart of Stedman; Daphine McLamb & husband, Ricky of Dunn; sons, Dennis & wife, Wanda and Benny & wife, Lyn all of Stedman. Survivors also include seven grandchildren, Karla Stewart, Shannon McLamb(Steven), Rodney Stewart (Dawn), Alan McLamb (Jenifer), Toni Swaim (Seth), Ashley Barbour (TC), and Tim Autry (Karen). He is also survived by thirteen special great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
