Mr. Calvin Edmond Edwards

ROSEBORO 81 of 412 North East Railroad St. died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 at his home. A funeral service is planned for Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at 11 A.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. The Rev. Roger White officiating Burial will follow at Mintz Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Edwards was born 1926 to the late Charles and Ila Edwards. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a Veteran. Mr. Edwards also retired after many years of service as a Boiler Operator in the Civil Service. Later in Life Mr. Edwards was a contract grower for Murphy Pig Farms. Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his wife Darlene. He is survived by his daughter Emily Beasley and her husband Jeff of Greenville, N.C.; son David Edwards of the home; grandchildren, Jorja and Zack Beasley of Greenville; sister, Doris Crumpler of Roseboro and two sister-in-laws Agnes Bunn of Zebulon, N.C and Patricia Seale of Seguin Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 from 6-8 P.M at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
