Mr. Bynum Edge Blake, 90

STEDMAN

Mr. Bynum Edge Blake, 90 of 7770 Clinton Road, Stedman, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, November 4 at Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 7536 Clinton Road, Stedman, with Reverend Mike Elliot and Reverend James Koo officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park, Fayetteville.

He was born November 7, 1924 in Cumberland County to the late Bynum Etheridge Blake and Lillie Collins Blake. He is preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Cain Blake.

He was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and an avid fisherman. He was a Veteran of the Navy serving in WWII and then worked as a Farmer.

He is survived by one daughter, Denise Blake Williams and husband James of the home; one son, Ronald Blake and wife Kathryn of Titusville, FL; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Starling and husband Dick of Stedman, and JoAnn Shierling of Blakely, GA.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to the service and other times at the home.
