STEDMAN
Rev. Fulton Thomas, born in Putnam County, Florida, surrendered to preach as an older teenager and served in churches in Northeast Florida and North Carolina. He was faithful to the gospel ministry for over 60 years. He closed his eyes physically for the last time Sunday, January 5, 2014, and opened them for eternity to the glorious sights of heaven.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jewel Thomas; three children, Andra Carroll and husband, Bob of High Point, Karen Boyette and husband, Wiley of Wilson, and Chaplain Mark Thomas and wife, Cynthia of Montgomery, Al; one brother, David Thomas; three sisters, Minnie Campbell, Lynell Wilson and Beatrice Reedy; four grandchildren, Adam Knight, Kaitlyn and Kathleen Boyette and Meredith Thomas.
The family will receive friends at 10:30 A.M. at Stedman Baptist Church on Thursday, January 9, 2014, the funeral will follow at 11:30 A.M.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Stedman Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 190, Stedman, NC 28391.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 West Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
