Mr. Bryan Keith McLaurin, 45 passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Rev. Teresa Strickland. Burial with full fireman honors will follow at Taylor Family Cemetery in Stedman.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 2:45pm Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donnie McNair McLaurin.

Bryan has had a long life in public service, having served many years at Ogden Fire & Rescue, Hampstead VFD, and most recently Rocky Point Fire Department. He has always had an excellent reputation, hard work ethic, and a firefighter's firefighter reputation. Bryan was also a donor, in this way he is already serving and saving lives in a whole new way.

He is survived by his mother, Hazel Taylor and step-father, James Taylor of Stedman; son, Grayson McLaurin-Woods of Irma, SC; sister, Donna McLaurin Winchester & husband, Stephen of Arlington, TX; step-sisters, Cindy Stewart & husband, Larry, Charlene Faircloth and Redonna Taylor all of Stedman; niece, Emma Winchester of Arlington, TX and girlfriend, Synarra Huneycutt of Leland, NC.
