Mr. Broughton A. Williams, 86

WADE Mr. Broughton Augustus Williams,86, of 5155 Goldsboro Rd., Wade, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was a retired industrial maintenance worker at Kelly Springfield. He was a native of Cumberland County. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Lucile Williams; his parents, John Thomas Williams and Berta Matthews Williams; three brothers and three sisters. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, September 7 at 11 A.M. in Maxwell Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Burkhardt officiating. He is survived by one son, David Williams and wife Ruth of Wade; one sister, Mary Emma Carrol of Godwin; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman on Thursday, September 6 from 7 to 9 p.m.
