Ms. Bonnie Faye (Jones) Coates, 87 went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Bethesda Health Care Facility in Eastover.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Old Bluff Presbyterian Church Cemetery officiating will be Rev. Dan Worley.

Bonnie was born in Cumberland County to the late Joe Cephus Jones and Victoria Hobson Jones.  In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her son, James Alex Coates; sisters, Mary Sue Jones Tyler & husband, Paul, Elsie Grey Jones McNeill & husband, Carl, Dorothy Eloise Jones Melvin & husband, Vance; brothers, Joe Gerald Jones & wife, Linda and Jessie Martin Jones & wife, Rachel; and her niece and former caretaker, Rhonda K. Jones Smith.

Bonnie began working for Tippett, Patrick & Bryan, CPA in 1984 until she retired in August 2014.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her nieces, Vickie McNeill Crocker, Daphney McNeill Williams, Susan Jones Daleke; Shannon Jones, Glenda M. Jackson, Debbie Tyler Rose, and Donna Tyler Needham; nephews, Tim McNeill and Tony Melvin & wife, Susie; and her daughter-in-law, Anne Godwin Coates.
