PORTSMOUTH, VA

Mrs. Bonnie Mae Bullard Westray, 78 of Portsmouth, Va, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017.

The funeral will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, August 13, at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with Dr. Mack Roberts and Rev. Bryan Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Born April 28, 1939 in Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late Paul Vernon and Leanna Jane Smith Bullard. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stan Westray; daughter, Brenda MacIntosh; granddaughter, Heather Kyle; sister, Elouise Barrick; and brother, Kirby Paul Bullard, Sr.

She is survived by: her husband, Harry Vandevander of the home; daughters, Vicky Madison of Shallotte, Darlene Pilapil and husband Phil of Portsmouth, Va; son-in-law, Darren MacIntosh of Portsmouth, Va; grandchildren, Chris Smith, Robert Kyle, Ricky Smith, Crystal MacIntosh, Angie Framnes, Jenny Framnes, Danny Smith; numerous great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Lettie Lou Gray and husband Rhudy of Autryville, Vernon Bullard and wife Emma Jean of Roseboro, Vonnie Ray Bullard of Roseboro, Dorothy Royal of Autryville, Murray Bullard and wife Joy of Roseboro, William Bullard and wife Susie of Roseboro; sister-in-law, Edna Bullard of Roseboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:45 to 2:45 pm Sunday prior to the service.
