Mr. Bobby Ray Benson, 65 passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Reverend Hampton Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow at Zoar Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mr. Benson was native of Wayne County, the son of Bobby Joshua and Evelyn Doris Grady Benson. He was preceded in death by his father and Niece, Angela Brooke Benson.

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Benson of the home; two sisters, Roberta Benson Moody and husband, Michael of Havelock, NC; and Linda Benson of Havelock, NC; brother, Jerry D. Benson of Wilmington; and two nephews, Michael Moody, Jr. and Joshua Benson.
