Mr. Billy Ray Haney, 64

ROSEBORO Mr. Billy Ray Haney, 64 of 1551 Autry Highway, died on Friday, September 9, 2011 at his home. The funeral will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Honeycutt, Rev. Greg Smith and Rev. Jerry Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at the Haney Family Cemetery. Mr. Haney was born on January 1, 1947 and was a native of Sampson County. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and worked as a Telephone Contractor. He is survived by: his wife, Vivian Haney of the home; one daughter, Michele Johnson and husband, Ron of Fayetteville; one sister, Jeanette Tanner of Autryville; and one grandson, Zackery Johnson. The family will receive friends on Monday afternoon from 1:30 to 3 PM at Pleasant Union Baptist Church, 2300 Pleasant Union Road, Roseboro, and other times at home. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
