Mr. Billy Ray Bland, 70 of Fayetteville passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 4, 2015 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman with the Rev. Allen West officiating. Burial will follow in the Autryville Cemetery.

Mr. Bland was born on July 11, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Jodie Abner Bland and Annie Mae Green Bland who survives. He was a industrial mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Bland of the home; one son, Preston Bland of Wilmington; two daughters, Angela Johnson of Hinesville, GA and Caroline Horne of Fayetteville; two step daughters, April Jordan of Salemburg and Nicole Bradshaw of Lake Jackson, Texas; his mother, Annie Mae Bland of Eastover; two brothers, David Bland of Fayetteville and Cecil Bland of Burgaw; two sisters, Lessie Bishop of Hope Mills and Annie Mae Burkhart of Burgaw; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and six step grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
