Ms. Billie Faye Evans, 70

GARLAND Ms. Billie Faye Evans, 70, of 9145 Old Fayetteville Road, passed away Monday, March 26, 2007 at her home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 2 PM at Antioch United Methodist Church with the Rev. Deborah Vanderford and Rev. Tim Reaves officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ms. Evans was the daughter of the late George Nelson Coble, Sr. and Flossie Pate Evans Coble and William Ransom Evans. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, George N. Coble, Jr. and wife Ruby and a sister, Ruth Smith Hufham. She was a librarian at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke before retiring. Ms. Evans is survived by: five brothers, David Franklin Coble and wife Pat, of Whiteville, Carl Ray Coble and wife Jane, of Clayton, Earl Gray Coble and wife Debbie, of Garland, Johnny Pate Coble and wife Marguerite, of Garland and Robert M. Coble and wife Bobbie, of Fayetteville; three sisters, Gloria C. Smith and husband Douglas and Rose C. Taylor, both of Garland and Mary Frances Edge, of Snow Hill. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 till 9 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and at other times at the home of Gloria Smith, 6292 Old Fayetteville Road, Garland.
