Bill Marsh

William Marsh, affectionately known as “Bill” passed away February 27, 2026.

 He was born February 17, 1942. He lived most of his life in Stedman, NC which he called God’s Country. He served as a faithful member of Stedman Baptist Church since 1962 where he served as a deacon and in various other areas and committee's including the Baptist Men's group. Bill was an active member of the Jaycees, The Gideon's and the Gold Wing Motorcycle club as well as volunteering long days at the voting polls. He worked with the Production Credit Association before becoming an Allstate Insurance Agent for nearly 4 decades. He loved the Lord and his family with all his heart! Favorite pastimes included fishing, croquet with family, tennis, white water rafting, water skiing, snow skiing, traveling around the U.S.on his motorcycle and cheering on the UNC Tar Heels. He was such a jolly person and truly enjoyed spreading joy to others.  His family is comforted in knowing that a heavenly reunion is promised. This isn't goodbye, it's see you soon.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 2, 2026 at Stedman Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. Jimmy Atkinson and Pastor Jeremy Marsh.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Monday at the church prior to the service.  The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Billy and Kelly Marsh.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, J V Marsh and Mamie Thomas Marsh; and his wife, Kay Strickland Marsh

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Sharon Rich & husband, Keith of Sneads Ferry; son, Billy Marsh, Jr. & wife, Kelly of Stedman; daughter, Leslie Satterfield & husband, Lei of Garner; son, Jeremy Marsh & wife, Lauren of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Brandon Hobbs & wife, Katlyn, Kristin Hobbs Lester, Taylor Horne & husband, Tyler, Will Marsh & wife, Maddie, Colby Satterfield & wife, Elise, Camden Satterfield, and Grayson Marsh; great grandchildren, Tinley Horne and Jonah Lester; and his brother, Bob Marsh.
