Mrs. Beulah Ann Smith, 75

Roseboro Mrs. Beulah Ann Smith, 75, of 14133 NC Highway 210 South, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2011 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Peters Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. David Bays and Rev. Larry Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Columbus County, Mrs. Smith was born in 1935 to the late Mack Dowdy and Lula Joanna Todd Rich. She was preceded in death by one son, Donald Pope; three brothers, Lee Rich, John "Jude" Rich and James "Jack" Rich. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Smith is survived by: husband, Lester Smith, of the home; daughter, Deborah Thompson, of Bladenboro; two sons, Linwood Rich, of Bladenboro and Gary "Pete" Pope, of Lumberton; two sisters, Gladys Pope, of Autryville and Jerrie Starling, of Wade; brother, Robert Rich, of Fayetteville.
