Mrs. Betty Underwood Faircloth, 74 of Salemburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Reverend Andy Wood officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mrs. Faircloth was a native of Robeson County, the daughter of Samuel Hinton and Doris Beane Underwood. Betty loved her family and co-workers at the Clinton Police Department. She was a retired employee of the City of Clinton (Clinton Police Department with 30 years of service.)

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Martha Ella U. Musselwhite and Doris Elizabeth Gallagher.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 38 years, Darrel Lee Faircloth of the home; her daughter, Sandie Marie Monroe; her son, Jason Hinton Faircloth; two granddaughters, Samantha Monroe Holland (Charles) and Emily Mae Faircloth; her great-grandson, John Chancey Holland; her sister, Margaret Rose Warfford of Winston Salem; and a special niece, Anna LaRue (Lisa).

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice especially Tommie Smith, Shannon Freeman, staff and a special thank you to Teresa Reich.
