HOPE MILLS Ms. Betty Watson Puleo, 68 of Hope Mills, died on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. John Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow at Windsor United Methodist Church Cemetery in Elizabethtown. Ms. Puleo was born on October 31, 1945 in Sampson County to the late Jessie and Dora Bordeaux Watson. She worked as a Salesperson at Target. She is survived by: one son, Patrick Graham Melvin of Fayetteville; one grandson, Christopher Melvin Fortune of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two great grandsons, Jeremy Fortune and Zerick Fortune; three sisters, Jo Ann Herring of Lumberton, Doris Watson Lane of Roseboro and Faye Lewis of Autryville; and one brother, Francis Watson of Roseboro. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home of her sister, Doris, 413 Maple Street, Roseboro.
