AUTRYVILLE Mrs. Betty Lou Williams Melvin, 73 of 445 Dewitt Williams Road, Autryville, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 in the Chapel at Cumberland Memorial Gardens with Rev. Audrey Paul Williams officiating. Entombment will follow. Mrs. Melvin was born on April 19, 1939 in Sampson County to the late John Dewitt and Minnie Mae Edge Williams. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Anguish Ferguson Melvin. She is survived by: one daughter, Kay Knisley of Autryville; two sons, Gary Wayne Melvin and Larry Melvin both of Autryville; one brother, Dewey Basil Williams of Autryville; one grandchild, Heather Melvin; and her special friend, David Mullins. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 in the Chapel at Cumberland Memorial Gardens with Rev. Audrey Paul Williams officiating. Entombment will follow. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
