Mrs. Betty Lou Cherry Bullard, 91, of Clinton, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Reverend Hampton Faircloth officiating. The burial will follow at Pleasant Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:50 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro prior to the service.

Mrs. Bullard was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Albert Cherry and Tommie Cleo Hobbs Cherry. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Amos Murray Bullard; and two brothers, Albert Cherry and Ernest Cherry.

She is survived by two daughters, Cherry Naylor and husband Wayne of Clinton, and Martha Gilbert and husband Nathan of Charlotte; three sons, George Bullard and wife Jennifer of Augusta, GA, Jonathan Bullard and wife Debbie of Roseboro, and Amos Gibson Bullard of Clinton; two brothers, Charles Schuler Cherry of Minnesota, and Phillip Cherry and wife Pat of Autryville; three grandchildren, Chris Naylor and wife Tonya, Amy Naylor Horne, and Tracy Johnson and husband Chad; four great-grandchildren, Warren Naylor, Teddy Horne, Grayson Johnson, and Raelynn Johnson.
