Mrs. Betty Inez "BB" Barefoot, 90 of 1680 Fleet Cooper Road, Roseboro, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh.

The funeral will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday at White Oak Baptist Church, 310 White Oak Church Road, Clinton, with Reverend Steve Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.

She was born on February 15, 1926 in Johnston County and was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luke and Myrtle Lee Strickland; husband, William Roy Barefoot; son, William Thomas Barefoot; daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jo and Eugene Taylor; grandson, Roy Allen Taylor; brother, Joseph J. Strickland; sisters, Rebecca Wood and Ellen Pearsall; sister-in-law, Edna Strickland; and special friend, Raymond Snead.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Worcester of the home; brothers, James M. Strickland of Salemburg, and Robert L. Strickland and wife Dot of Salemburg; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Ann Barefoot of Cary; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, and other times at the home.
