Bess Tyndall Starling, 87, of Salemburg, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at home surrounded by many of her loving family.

A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, May 14, at Freedom Baptist Church, located at 2099 Tyndall Bridge Road in Salemburg. Pastor Adam Capps and Pastor Gil Litada will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the Freedom Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 P.M. on Tuesday, May 13, at Freedom Baptist Church, located at 2099 Tyndall Bridge Road, in Salemburg.

Bess spent her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking (and was the best at it). She enjoyed time sitting with family and friends while watching Cardinals and other birds feed on the many bird feeders around her home. She also enjoyed music, often humming Hymnals and other popular tunes she loved. But most of all, our mom had the kindest heart and sweetest disposition. Without question, she cared so deeply for and adored her family, who were the light of her life, and who will miss her physical presence dearly.

Born in 1937, Bess was the daughter of Alma and William Tyndall. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: Demery Tyndall (Mallie), Thad Tyndall (Sylvia), Robert Tyndall (Sara), Thomas Tyndall (Shirley), David Tyndall (Doris), and sister, Christine Holland (Clayton).

Bess is survived by her husband, who cherished her in marriage for more than 70 years, Charles Starling of Salemburg; Daughters: Donna Fleming (Don) of Salemburg, and Vickie Spell (Don) of Salemburg; and Son: Dan Worley (Vicki) of Salemburg; Brother Dewey Tyndall of Erwin, Sisters Betty Turnage of Salemburg, and Gerri Mclamb of Salemburg; Grandchildren Jonathan Crumpler of Salemburg, Keith Rowell (Lauren) of Virginia, Stephen Rowell (Stephanie) of Vermont, and David Rowell (Brittany) of Turkey; Great Grandchildren; Matthew Vallini of Salemburg, Zach Worley of Clinton, and Jenna Wells (Easton) of Rose Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Bess to the Freedom Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 2099 Tyndall Bridge Road, Salemburg.
