Bertha Mary (Vinson) Horne

Mrs. Bertha Mary (Vinson) Horne, 93 passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Carolina Rehab Center of Cumberland.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Evergreen Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. Stan Carter and Rev. Charles Davis.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM Thursday at the church prior to the service.

Due to COVID restrictions, masks will be required.

Bertha was born in Cumberland County to the late Roy Fillmore Vinson and Gladys Elizabeth Leggett Vinson.  In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, A. Rolland Horne; siblings, Lois, Rebecca, Lenwood and Charles;  and a great granddaughter, Isabella.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Rolland Wayne Horne (Joyce), Phyllis Horne Carter (James Ottis), Linda Horne Cain (James Michael Cain) and James Thurman Horne; 9 grandchildren, Shari, Rodney, Dana, Kimberly Dawn, Shelly, Lindsay, Byron, Jonathan and Joshua; 18 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren.
