Mrs. Beretha Strickland Hairr, 84

FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Beretha Strickland Hairr, 84, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 in her home in Fayetteville, NC. She was born in Cumberland County, NC, to her parents Edward and Picola Strickland. Mrs. Hairr was a retired elementary school teaching assistant in the Cumberland County School System. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Harding Hairr and is survived by her son, Harold Grey Hairr, daughter-in-law Phyllis Ann Hairr, grandsons, Christopher Ryan Hairr and Phillip Anthony Hairr, and granddaughter-in-law, Chun Zhang. She is also survived by her sister, Hazel Strickland Barefoot, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hairr was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was loved by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Magnolia Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
