Mr. Barry Edward Buie, 86, of Hope Mills passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was a retired textile worker for Burlington Mills in St. Pauls. He was a native of Cumberland County, the son of the late Roy Vance Buie and Elizabeth Odum Buie. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Celestine Taylor and a brother, Jack Buie.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, February 25 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman with Pastor John Blackman officiating. A visitation will be held Thursday at the funeral home from 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm prior to the service.

He is survived by his wife, Clarisa Louise Buie of Fayetteville; a brother, George Buie of Ohio; three grandchildren, Jarvis Wiggs III (wife Pamela), James Wiggs (wife Kara) and Lisa Philbeck; six great grandchildren, Kyle Wiggs, Lauren Wiggs, Kane Wiggs, Kolton Wiggs, Karson Wiggs and Tyler Wiggs.
