Mr. Barney Lenue Holmes, 73 of 105 Conrad Court, Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 12, at Stedman Baptist Church with Dr. Phil Spears officiating. Interment will follow at Holmes Family Cemetery.

He was born February 5, 1943 in Columbus County to the late Myron and Mildred Ward Holmes. He was a Veteran of the Army National Guard and worked as a Finance Manager with Power-Swain Chevrolet.

He is survived by his wife, Gina Holmes of the home; daughters, Lori Hlavacek and husband Jim of Fayetteville, Valerie Bradley and husband Scott of Wade; step children, Joshua Savarese, Sarah Savarese both of Fayetteville; sisters, Catherine Lewis and husband Dennis of Fayetteville, Phyllis Matthews and husband Hugh of Wade; and grandchildren, Garrett Hlavacek, Kaitlyn Bradley, Skylar Bradley, Colton Bradley.

The visitation will be held from 1:00 to 1:45 pm Saturday, March 12, at Stedman Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Stedman Baptist Church, 7750 Clinton Road, Stedman, NC 28391.
