Mrs. Barbara Holder Smith, 76 of 306 Falling Leaves Lane, Roseboro, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro, with Rev. Teresa Wesley officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Salemburg.

Mrs. Smith was born on April 13, 1939 in Tacoma Park, Maryland, to the late James Augusta and Phoebe Ditzler Davis. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jack Holder; second husband, Charlie Smith; son, Gary Jack Holder; two sisters and two brothers. She worked for 27 years with Brooks Brothers Shirt Factory in Garland.

She is survived by her children, Terry Kight of Hephzibah, Georgia, Jerry J. Holder of Roseboro, and Sherry Maxwell of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Tammy Holder, Gary Holder, Kenneth Kight, Heather Wade, Amanda Neal, Adam Holder, and Jerilee Holder; and great grandchildren, Evan Holder, Garrett Shelton, Ava Claire Holder, Donovan Middleton, Daveon Middleton, Eli Neal, Wyatt Neal, and Easton Holder.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday evening at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at her home.
