Barbara Jean Jessup Hobbs, 79

ROSEBORO

Ms. Barbara Jean Jessup Hobbs, 79 of Roseboro, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at The Magnolia Assisted Living in Clinton.

The funeral will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, August 17, at Roseboro United Methodist Church, 300 N. Broad Street, Roseboro, with Reverend Bobby Herring officiating.

Born April 11, 1938 in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late David Currie and Clara Culbreth Jessup. She worked in Accounts Payable for Crumpler Plastic Pipe.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Hobbs, Jr. of Princeton, Jeffery Hobbs of Roseboro; daughter, Jennifer Poole and husband Donnie of Clinton; sister, Elizabeth Hall and husband Roy of Stedman; brother, James Jessup and wife Clarese of Roseboro; sister-in-laws, Helen Jessup of Hope Mills, Margaret Jessup of Roseboro; grandchildren, Samantha Strickland, Cameran Poole, Tyler Poole, Jacob Poole, Joshua Hobbs, Hunter Hobbs; great grandchildren, Riley Rich, Kurrie Strickland.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 pm Thursday prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for the funeral expense and sent to Butler Funeral Home, P.O. Box 638, Roseboro, NC 28382.

Services are by Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
