Ms. Barbara Beard Hicks, 74

Ms. Barbara Beard Hicks, 74 of Charlotte, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at her home.

The funeral will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 17, at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Hicks was born March 7, 1941 in Cumberland County to the late Elmo Chester and Eva Blanche Faircloth Beard. She worked as an Insurance Agent.

She is survived by one son, Robert Wayne Hicks of Charlotte; one daughter, Shirley Renee Hicks of Cherryville; one sister, Shirley Brantley of Augusta, GA; two brothers, Bruce Beard, Marvin Beard both of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren, Cody Hicks, Makayla Hicks, Christopher Hicks.

The visitation will be held from 1:00 to 1:45 pm Wednesday, February 17, at Butler Funeral Home, Stedman.
