Ms. Barbara Edge Ashby, 58 of 279 Effie Peterson Lane, Roseboro, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro, with Rev. Bryan Strickland officiating.

Ms. Ashby was born on March 18, 1957 in New Hanover County to Walton and Dorothy Davis Edge. She is preceded in death by her father and worked as a sign language interpreter.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy D. Edge of Fayetteville; sister, Diane Jones of Hope Mills; two brothers, Walton "Buddy" Edge, Jr. and David Edge both of Fayetteville; two daughters, Shauna Castillo of Meriden, Kansas, and Celeste Ashby of Roseboro; three grandsons, Dylan Weathers, Damian Peterson and Caleb Walton Horne; and companion, Talmadge Joseph Spell.

The family will receive friends following the service.
