Mr. Arlington Glenwood Simmons

FAYETTEVILLE Mr. Arlington Glenwood Simmons, 79, of 7647 Cedar Creek Road died Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was a professional wood craftsman. A native of Cumberland County, he was the son of Frank Simmons and Hattie Melvin Simmons. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 7 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman with Revs. Belinda Davis and Milton Little officiating. Burial will follow at Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife, Shirley Simmons of the home; a daughter, Sonya Simmons Register and husband Michael Kevin of Fayetteville; a son, Jeffrey Simmons of Cary; a brother, David Simmons of Fayetteville; two granddaughters, Taylor and Mackenzie Register. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M., Friday, June 6 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
