Mr. Archie Donald Spivey (78) of Siler City, NC, passed away on March 7, 2025 at his home in Myrtle Beach, SC.

He was born on May 23, 1946 to the late Archie Spivey and Ava Lee Beal Spivey. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Rice Spivey, daughter, Kimberly Nesbitt, and brother, Kermit Spivey.

He is survived by his grandson Alex Nesbitt and wife Meredith of Lincolnton, NC; granddaughter Mackenzie Moore of Charleston, SC; Great granddaughter, Abigail of Lincolnton, NC; and Niece Amanda Spivey Barbour, husband Justin and children Cameron, Landon, and Emma Grace, of Sanford, NC.

Archie's happy place was lounging on the balcony of his beach-front home, watching the sun rise and set over Ocean Creek. He had many joys in life, including his passion for photography, computer programming, and software development-for which he held multiple United States Patents. His greatest joy was the 38 years he spent married to the love of his life, Sue. Knowing that he is finally reunited with her brings great comfort to Archie's loved ones. In addition, He especially enjoyed time spent with his "grand-pups", which would always include an outing for all-you-can-eat crab legs and a round of minigolf. His witty sense of humor, infectious laugh, and words of wisdom will be missed dearly.

A graveside service will be held Monday, March 17, 2025 at 11 AM at Live Oak United Methodist Church in White Oak, NC with Rev. Mark Gustafson officiating. The family invites friends to join them in the church fellowship hall following the service.
