Mr. Archie Murrell Sessoms, 88 of Salemburg went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 19, 2024 at Salemburg Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. William Tew, Rev. Robert Oliver and Rev. Brandon King.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:50 PM on Friday at the church prior to the funeral service.

Mr. Sessoms was a native of Sampson County, the son of Isaiah Tobe  and Betty Brock Sessoms.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Catherine Sessoms; son, David Sessoms and step-son, Donnie Ray Sessoms.

He is survived by a daughter, Vicky Wainright-Musgrove of Autryville; two sons, Ronnie Sessoms and wife, Susie of Clinton and Toby Sessoms and wife, Kimberly of Raeford; a step-daughter, Mary Thompson of Salemburg; two step-sons, Ricky Norman Sessoms of Lumberton and Gary Wayne Sessoms of Roseboro; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
