Archie Maurice Bullard

Mr. Archie Maurice Bullard, 84 went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Village Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. Nick Smith.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM Thursday at the church prior to the service.

Archie was a veteran of the United States Airforce, and he retired from McMillan-Shuler Oil Company with 38 years of service. He was a Mason for 45 years, and a two-time Past Master of John Huske Anderson Lodge 731.  He was most recently a member of Creasy Proctor 679, and he was a York Rite Mason and Shriner.

Mr. Bullard was a native of South Carolina, the son of the late, Onslow B. Bullard and Florrie Butler Bullard. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his step mother, Jimmie Bullard; brother and sister-in-law, McLaurin & Becky Bullard, and Carlisle & Elsie Bullard; and his sisters, Patricia Morrow and Pearl Black.

He leaves to cherish his memory with his wife of 60 years, Hettie Bullard; son, Maurice (Suzanne); grandson, Macon (Jamie); great grandsons, Silas and Reece; sister, Genevieve Heckle; special nieces and nephews, Carla Council, Julie Wilkie, Susan Harmon, Tommy Bullard, Randy Bullard, Alan Heckle, Donna Heckle, Teresa Tuton, Sharon Jalovick, Sonny Black, and David King.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Archie's honor to The Masonic Oxford Orphanage, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC  27565, or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Attention:  Office of Child Development, 2900 N Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL  33607.
