Antonia (Libero) Wieszun

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antonia Wieszun, age 70, on February 16, 2025, after a brave battle with dementia. She was born in Sicily in 1954 to Venera and Carmelo Libero.

Antonia was raised in Sicily and came to the United States as a teenager, where she created a beautiful life surrounded by love and family. She graduated from Lakeland High School and after received a Cosmetology license. As a hairdresser for over 40 years, she touched the lives of many, always providing her clients with not just a fresh haircut but a warm smile and caring ear.

She married Robert in 1975 and they raised their 3 children Melissa, Amy, and Vanessa in Wayne, NJ. She was a talented cook and enjoyed treating her family to amazing Italian food. She could always be found on the dance floor at occasions. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished the moments spent with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones.

Her family will forever remember her infectious laughter and the many memories shared through the years. Antonia will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Antonia is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Robert Wieszun; daughter Melissa Frank and husband Timothy Frank of Sanford, NC; daughter Amy Lombardo and husband Diego Lombardo of Fair Lawn, NJ; daughter Vanessa Sparta and husband Timothy Sparta of Berlin, MD; grandchildren Emma Frank, Noah Frank, Jake Lombardo, Derek Lombardo, Chloe Lombardo, Hailey Sparta, Ella Sparta, and Gianna Sparta; mother-in-law Theresa Wieszun of Haskell, NJ; her 4 siblings, beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law Henry Wieszun.
