SALEMBURG Mrs. Mildred Hairr Worley, 89, of Salemburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 at Wake Med. She was born in Sampson County to Wiley Eschol Hairr and Sophia Elizabeth Tew Hairr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Newton Dixon Worley, granddaughter Katie Worley, sisters Otha Honeycutt and Olive Blythe, brothers, Charlie Pitman Hairr and Elwood Hairr. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Holland and husband, Ronald of Roseboro, Jerry Worley and wife, Phyllis of White Lake, Brenda Carroll and husband, Kenneth of Autryville, Ricky Worley and wife, Kay of Salemburg, Ron Worley and wife, Kaylyn of Naples, FL. Grandchildren, Carl Cain of Roseboro, Ginger Alphin and husband, Johnnie of Salemburg, Jeffery Worley and wife, Amanda of Clinton, Renee Cain and friend, Vinnie Bryant of Roseboro, Kristi Hall and husband, Stanley of Godwin, Ken Carroll of Raleigh, Jeremy Worley and wife, Alaina of Newton Grove, Aaron Worley and wife, Laura of Little Elm, TX., Great Grandchildren, Ashley Bullard and husband, Brandon of Salemburg, Madeline and Bryson Worley of Clinton, Seth and Tyler Hall of Godwin and Kailyn and Cole Worley of Newton Grove, two sisters Ruth Naylor and husband, James of Sanford, Barbara Davis and husband, JE of Salemburg, sister-n-law, Jackie Worley Matthews of Salemburg and brother-n-law, Mosley Worley of Salemburg. She was a life long member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Active in Choir, Women's Missions and directional committees. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Friday, August 31, 2012 at Union Grove Church in Salemburg, NC conducted by Rev. Allen West and Rev. Paul Honeycutt. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm Thursday, Aug 30, 2012, At Union Grove Fellowship Hall. Family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the caregivers of Wake Med and others involved in her care. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Friday, August 31, 2012 at Union Grove Church in Salemburg, NC conducted by Rev. Allen West and Rev. Paul Honeycutt. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery.
